Myofascial release applied to the face and scalp is a uniquely intimate and transformative modality. The fascia of the face is directly connected to the cranial fascia, the cervical fascia, and ultimately the entire body's connective tissue network. Working here can have surprisingly systemic effects.
The session uses slow, sustained holds along the facial fascia lines — forehead, temples, jaw, around the eyes and mouth — to release holding patterns that are often emotional as much as structural. Clients frequently describe a sensation of the whole face "letting go" — and a visible change in facial expression and ease.
